Author's Guidelines
The World Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research welcomes original research articles, reviews, case studies, short communications, and letters to the editor that contribute to the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and education.
- Manuscript Categories
We accept the following types of submissions:
- Original Research Articles: Comprehensive studies that provide significant new findings.
- Review Articles: In-depth surveys of research on a particular topic.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of novel or preliminary results.
- Case Studies: Detailed examinations of specific cases in pharmaceutical practice.
- Letters to the Editor: Short communications addressing issues or recent publications in the journal.
- General Formatting Requirements
- File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Font: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Length: Research articles should not exceed 5,000 words, while reviews can extend to 7,000 words. Short communications should be up to 2,000 words.
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.
- Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized as follows:
- Title Page: Include the title, author names, affiliations, and contact information of the corresponding author.
- Abstract: Provide a summary of the manuscript (150–250 words). It should include the objective, methods, key results, and conclusion.
- Keywords: List 4–6 keywords relevant to the article.
- Introduction: Present the background and objectives of the study.
- Materials and Methods: Describe the experimental or research methods in detail to ensure reproducibility.
- Results: Report the findings with appropriate tables and figures.
- Discussion: Interpret the results and their significance, comparing them to previous studies.
- Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and their implications.
- References: Follow the Vancouver style for citations and references. Number references sequentially as they appear in the text.
- Figures and Tables
- Figures: Should be high resolution (at least 300 dpi) and in JPEG, TIFF, or PNG format. Each figure should have a caption below it.
- Tables: Include tables in the manuscript text, with clear titles and footnotes if necessary. Tables should be numbered consecutively and referenced within the text.
- Ethical Guidelines
- Originality: Manuscripts submitted must be original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarism: We use plagiarism detection tools to check submissions. Plagiarized work will be rejected.
- Ethical Approval: For studies involving human participants or animals, authors must provide evidence of ethical approval by relevant review boards.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or professional affiliations.
- Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and academic integrity:
- Manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial board for suitability.
- Suitable manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the field.
- Authors will receive feedback and may be required to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments.
- Copyright and Open Access
- Open Access: All published articles are available to readers free of charge under a Creative Commons License.
- Copyright: Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright but grant The World Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research the right of first publication.
- Submission Process
- All manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s online submission portal.
- Submissions should include the manuscript, a copy right form, and any supplementary files (such as figures or additional datasets).
- Publication Fees
- The World Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research is committed to supporting open access. Authors may be required to pay a publication fee upon acceptance to cover processing and publication costs. Fee waivers or discounts may be available for authors from low-income countries.
